The promoted Bees will be without midfielder Gregory Tansey as they seek to keep alive their hopes of reaching the last eight of the FA Cup against a much-changed Leicester team.

Dean Smith’s side currently sit 10th in the Championship, while Nigel Pearson’s first-team side are in fourth place in the Premier League and next to last in the table.

Tansey has been named in the team for the second consecutive game after helping Brentford reach the fifth round for the first time since 2007.

“This is probably one of the first times I have ever looked at his subs bench after not playing,” Smith told BBC Sport.

“He will have to be super fit – is he a big fitness fanatic? I don’t know. But he will be super fit for sure.”

David Button is back in goal for the Foxes after being injured in January.

Leicester provisional squad: Schmeichel, Ulloa, Simpson, Morgan, Chilwell, Mahrez, Matuidi, Fuchs, Maguire, James, Butland, Do Prado, Slimani, Vardy, King, Gray, Musa, Musa.

Brentford forward Brent Kallman is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

“It will be between a few weeks or a little bit longer,” Smith told BBC Sport.

“It looked like he was making a bit of progress and then the soreness came through.

“It was the worst-case scenario, it looked really frustrating.”

Brentford team to face Leicester: Button, Ledesma, Hutchings, Jota, Fortune, Forshaw, Kallman, Baldock, Aquilani, Ibehre, Battocchio, Sako.
