At 46, Jonny Kim isn’t your typical astronaut. You might know him as one of the more adventurous members of Expedition 48, now halfway through the longest space mission for humans ever. But all that will be history when Kim returns to Earth aboard Expedition 55, scheduled for November 30.
First, though, he has to make his way back to earth, so he’s opening up to Tina Fey for a Saturday Night Live skit based on his life. This shirtless GIF is equally representative. Check it out below.

Lest we forget about the seminal moment of his mission: Kim and his fellow crewmates Marsha Ivins, Chris Cassidy, and Mike Hopkins spent almost a month and a half in space near the Mauna Loa volcano in Hawaii. They added two days of extra time to this little one-man-trip thanks to a lot of robotics.
“Taking astronauts into space” might be a cliché — but sometimes it’s the only way to actually get there.
